Finally a comedy tour fighting for the rights of the handsome! When three men were deported from Saudi Arabia for being too handsome, UCSD graduate Tim Lee -- who has long suffered from "player hate" himself -- sprung into action. He recruited comedians Monty Franklin and Andrew Norelli to his cause, knowing them to be openly handsome comedians. Their mission is inspire men to embrace their own handsomeness and lobby for the recognition of "player hating" as a crime. It would be nice if they could someday tour Saudi Arabia without being deported, also. These sexy stand-ups manage to be both funny and attractive at the same time and serve as an inspiration for everyone. Between the three, they manage to represent a diverse range of handsomeness: Tim Lee is a native Californian with a PhD, whose bad boy tendencies are curbed by an intellectual edge. He's been featured in the "New York Times" and performed at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. Andrew Norelli is a Sagittarius whose ruggedness is balanced by his soft side. When he's not racing motorcycles he loves to scrapbook. He has performed on the "Late Show With David Letterman" and "Jimmi Kimmel Live". Last but not least, Australian Monty Franklin enjoys surfing, moonlit walks on the beach and swing dancing to a live band. Monty's numerous television performances include Channel 10's "The Circle" & Foxtel's "Stand Up Australia".

This powerful one-act "verismo" (realistic) opera peeks into the lives of simple village folk as they celebrate the holy day festivities in their Sicilian village on Easter Sunday. All is not church services and holiday feasts, however. Love and passion, betrayal and vengeful rage are portrayed with swift action and intense emotion. Coursing through the story is the music of Mascagni, with quiet passages making the cries of passion ever more poignant. The lush, beautiful melodies were made popular among the masses through the Hollywood blockbuster "The Godfather." A young tenor sings the tragic role of Turiddu, the philandering soldier who becomes involved with all the wrong women. The betrayed Santuzza's "Voi lo sapete, o mamma" is opera's best-known aria. A narrative, written by award-winning local college playwright Emily Sperling, is presented between scenes by two actors, keeping you engaged without distracting you with supertitles. The opera is performed by California-based opera singers in a fully staged production with chorus and 23-piece orchestra under the baton of conductor Kenneth Bell.
