Harbor Beach
Oceanside Harbor Days (mid-September) will feature arts and craft exhibits, great food and fun activities for the entire family. 50,000 people are expected at the event.
Oceanside Harbor Parade of Lights (December)
Boats of all sizes, decorated in holiday lights and ornaments circle Oceanside Harbor while onlookers watch from beach, Oceanside Harbor, restaurants and boats.
Pier View South - Beach
Oceanside Cinco de Mayo Fiesta
(May 5 or thereabouts)
Univision’s annual Latino Fiesta, with live entertainment, sponsors, and food booths at Oceanside Pier Amphitheatre.
Several entertainment events year-round at Oceanside Pier Amphitheatre, includes KIFM Jazz at the Beach and KSON Country Fest North.
World Bodysurfing Championships
(Late August)
About 350-400 bodysurfers from around the world compete in their respective age divisions for trophies and prizes.
The Oceanside Labor Day Pier Swim
(Labor Day - 1st Monday in September) is an annual event celebrated by athletes from all over California to help raise money for the Oceanside Swim Club.
ENCINITAS
Moonlight State Beach
Encinitas Sports Festival (mid May)
Encinitas becomes a sports mecca on the North San Diego County coastline the weekend before Memorial Day which you won't want to miss.
Encinitas Sunday Concerts by the Sea
Four concert series held in July and August takes place right on Moonlight Beach so bring your beach blankets and chairs. Each concert features a different musical style.
Wavecrest Woodies Meet (mid September) is the world's largest gathering of wooden bodied automobiles.
SOLANA BEACH
Fletcher Cove Beach
Fiesta Del Sol (1st weekend in June) is Solana Beache's annual art festival with live music, food, a beer gardent and childrens playground. Event takes place at Fletcher Cove Park, next to beach.
Over 2,000 athletes compete in the Solana Beach Triathlon & Duathlon (late July). Both events start and finish at Fletcher Cove.
DEL MAR
Del Mar City Beach
Del Mar Summer Twilight Concert Series - 4 concerts, one each month, from June - September, at Powerhouse Park, next to the beach.
LA JOLLA
La Jolla Cove - Beach
La Jolla Shores - Beach
La Jolla Half Marathon (late July) is a scenic and rigorous course from Del Mar Fairgrounds to La Jolla Cove.
La Jolla Shores 5K (late July) is a shorter version of the half marathon, from La Jolla Shores to La Jolla Cove
La Jolla Concerts by the Sea
(June - September)
These family-friendly summer concerts offer a wide range of musical styles for everyone’s enjoyment, at Ellen Browning Scripps Park, overlooking La Jolla Cove.
PACIFIC BEACH

Pacific BeachFest (early to mid October) takes place at Crystal Pier and the beaches next to it. Get your fill of beach volleyball, giant sandcastles, music, food, fine arts and crafts, fireworks and more!
OCEAN BEACH
Ocean Beach Park - Beach
Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook-off Festival (late June), vendors, live entertainment, food, and children's activities along Newport Ave to beach.
Fireworks display off the Ocean Beach Pier (July 4). The fireworks serve as the finale for the Ocean Beach Street Fair, an Ocean Beach tradition.
CORONADO
Silver Strand State Beach
Superfrog & Superseal Triathlons (Late March): Two super endurance races along the largely undeveloped strand between Coronado and Imperial Beach Includes swim at beach.
IMPERIAL BEACH
Imperial Beach - Beach
U. S. Open Sandcastle Competition (mid to late July) is the largest sandcastle building competition in the USA, located on beach near Imperial Beach Pier.
Imperial Beach Triathlon & Duathlon
(mid to late August)
At Imperial Beach Pier. The triathlon consists of a 1/2K ocean swim (wetsuits optional), 15K bike ride and 5K run; the duathlon features a 2K run, 15K bike ride and another 5K run.
Imperial Beach Annual Concert Event

Imperial Beach Annual ArtWalk
(mid September)
Artists gather at Pier Plaza to create art pieces which are auctioned on the second day of the Art Walk.
Imperial Beach International Film Festival

The 5th Annual Imperial Beach International Film Festival will show screenings over 3 days at Pier Plaza and other locations.
