Glorietta Bay Beach
South of the Hotel del Coronado and City Hall, Glorietta Bay Beach is a small sandy beach which offers a unique view of the Glorietta Bay and the San Diego-Coronado Bridge. Glorietta Bay Beach is located on the south end of Glorietta Bay Park. The beach is a popular place to swim, as well as launch kayaaks, jet skis, sailboats, and other small ocean vehicles from the adjacent boat launch ramp.
The beach is part of Glorietta Bay Park, a 2-acre grass-filled park, with restrooms, playground equipment and a small dock. Glorietta Bay Beach and Park can provide hours of fun, and a relaxing time for all individuals.
Glorietta Bay Park is one of the most scenic parks on San Diego's Coronado Island. It is named for Glorietta Bay with a harbor that hosts many yachts and boats.
Also at the park are great facilities such as beautiful restrooms, picnic tables, kids playgrounds and huge grass lawns for children to romp and play.
LOCATION
Located south of the Hotel del Coronado and City Hall. Glorietta Bay Beach and Park are located on the inland side of the island with Pacific Ocean directly accessible just a few blocks away on this narrow stretch of land. Not far from the park you can see the Hotel del Coronado and downtown shops. There's a public bus that stops near the park so you can access it easily without a long walk from most destinations. Glorietta Bay Beach and Park are south of Municipal Pool on Strand Way. It includes free parking.
