Chula Vista Bayside Beach is located at the north end of Chula Vista Bayside Park. The beach is fairly long as far as San Diego Bay beaches go. The sand is harder near the park grass and softer near the water. People swim in the waters off the beach, and kayaakers and wind surfers use it to enter the bay. The beach is enhanced by a scenic view of the bay, boats, and The Silver Strand on the opposite side.

Chula Vista Bayside Park consists of a wide grassy area with a walkway, trees, and the sandy beach below. Chula Vista Harbor is just to the south of the park. Also at the southern end is a long fishing pier extending into the marina toward Chula Vista Bayfront Park. The Chula Vista RV Park is east of the park, across the street.
