West Mission Bay Beaches

Along its shores, West Mission Bay has homes, condos and apartments, a walk/bike path, and continuous sandy beach. The beach has no fire rings or picnic tables, but is wide enough to sit back and enjoy the view or sunbathe. The Catamaran Resort Hotel, near the north end of West Mission Bay, has a watersports center on the beach, with boat rentals and a coffee bar. West Mission Bay beaches are sedate by comparison to the popular beaches on the ocean side of Mission Beach, a few blocks away.

Santa Clara Point, Bahia Point, and Mission Point are all extensions of West Mission Bay, with their own beaches. El Carmel Point, just south of Santa Clara Point, has no beach.
