South Cove Beach

South Cove is located in Vacation Isle Park, a large grassy park with several shade trees, picnic tables and a gazeboo on the eastern side. The park has no playground.

Vacation Isle Park and South Cove are located on the south end of Vacation Isle, off of Ingraham Street, and across from Ski Beach.

South Cove has a sandy beach with fire rings. A small amphitheatre with a fire ring in the center, sits behind the beach overlooking the cove. No lifeguards on duty at South Cove Beach.

Directions
From South or East San Diego, take I-8 to the Sports Arena Blvd. exit, make a right onto West Mission Bay Drive and continue straight to Ingraham Street. Cross over 1 bridge then make a left at the stop light to West Vacation Road.

From North San Diego, take I-5 to the Sea World Drive exit, make a right onto Sea World Drive and continue straight to Ingraham Street. Cross over 1 bridge then make a left at the stop light to West Vacation Road.

Parking is free in these lots, but they do fill up early during the summer months.
