Sunset Cliffs Beaches

Sunset Cliffs Blvd, Ocean Beach, San Diego, California (map)

Beach Highlights

Located on the beautiful Point Loma peninsula, Sunset Cliffs Natural Park has two secluded, sandy beaches at the base of the cliffs. One beach is located on Sunset Cliffs Blvd, just south of Adair Street (map). The access trail is steep and windy. Be cautious. The beach can get crowded during the summer. The photo to the right was taken of the beach is August. As you can see, the beach is ideal for sunbathing and swimming.

The other beach is located at the end of Sunset Cliffs Blvd, just south of Ladera Street, below a natural park (map). You can park above the park in a dirt log, or along the street. This beach is much easier to access than the beach to the north, and is still secluded. This beach is popular for swimming, sunbathing and surfing.

These two beaches are within Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, 68-acres of beautiful rugged cliffs, natural vegetation and scenic views.

Parking is available along the street or at a number of small lots at the park site and there are no restrooms available.

No dogs, no alcohol, no glass bottles.
