Beach Highlights
La Jolla Children's Pool is a small, sandy beach cove protected by sea cliffs on one side and a man-made seawall on the other. The beach, also known as Casa Beach, was created as a protected swimming area, or pool, suitable for children. The seawall buffered the beach from the sometime rough and unpredictable surf and strong currents.
Harbor Seals
A portion of Children's Pool beach is protected zone for harbor seals, and off-limits to people. People can stand on the seawall for a better view.
Amenities
A public restroom with showers is located beneath the lifeguard station.

Regulations
People should swim, boat and dive away from Children's Pool. The idea is to not disturb the sea lions, who can be easily aroused. Alcohol is prohibited.
Parking
The only parking is along Coast Blvd. Parking is free but can get full on a sunny day. Parking is limited to three hours on weekdays and unlimited on weekends. Two hour free parking and paid, public parking lots are available in downtown La Jolla,
Disabled Access
The Children's Pool seawall is accessible by wheelchair, but narrow and can get crowded. No one is allowed on the beach. The concrete walkway along the cliff tops is an ideal viewing area.
