Parade History:
San Diego’s Pride Parade finds its roots in the original march held in June of 1974, when a four-hundred person march/rally was held in Balboa Park. While the original route of the march has changed and so has the number of contingents and attendees the passion and exuberance of the community that brings this great parade to life has remained the same despite what may be occurring locally or globally.
