San Diego St. Patrick's Day Parade
and Irish Festival

Parade Day Highlights

The San Diego St. Patricks Day Parade will begin on Sixth Avenue and Juniper Streets, in Balboa Park.The Flag Presentation will kick off the parade day activities at 10 am in Balboa Park with the parade starting at 11am.

The event will feature floats, marching bands, equestrian entries, police and fire department units, Emerald Society units, bagpipes, dancing groups, drill teams, roller skaters, clowns, antique cars, and Corvettes.

St Patricks Day Parade in San Diego

The parade travels north on Fifth Avenue to Upas, then over to Sixth Avenue and South on Sixth where it will end at Laurel Street. The parade judging platform will be located on Fifth Avenue between Spruce and Thorn Streets.

Route: From Sixth Avenue and Juniper Street, travels north on Fifth Avenue to Upas, then over to Sixth Avenue and South on Sixth to conclude at Juniper Street.

Irish Festival

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade Festival opens at 11am and free to the public. The festival will offer entertainment on two stages, two beer gardens, a Kids Zone full of games, rides, face-painting and llamas, and a Celtic Village from 1582 with renaissance re-enactments, Irish dance, story-telling, song and crafts.
