Street Fair Highlights

The Fiesta de los Penasquitos will take place on the first Sunday of May on Black Mountain Road in front of the Vons shopping center from 11am to 5pm. It’s free to the public and tons of fun!

Every year, approximately 15,000 people set foot in Rancho Peñasquitos to attend the annual “Fiesta de los Penasquitos” community festival. The Fiesta is a family oriented annual street faire that’s been an annual event since 1995. Organized and sponsored by the Rancho Penasquitos Town Council, all proceeds from the event are returned to the community in the form of grant awards to individuals and groups.

The Fiesta features four unique zones: the “family fun zone”, the “adventure zone”, the “community zone” and the “carnival zone”. Over 150 vendors will provide arts & crafts, food, home improvement tips, a rock climbing wall and a Fiesta Fun Tent for children of all ages.

Classic Car Show

The Penasquitos Town Council and and Slow Lane Familia Classic Car Club proudly present the Fiesta de los Penasquitos Classic Car Show & Shine.

Slow Lane Familia is a local Car Club who’s members own American made cars from 1966 or older. The Club’s focus is on community service and helping non-profit organizations fundraise. Some of the organizations they have helped include the Ronald McDonald House and the American Cancer Society. They’ve also been involved with the New Haven home for troubled and abused boys and fed the homeless in downtown San Diego.

They are currently researching the many worthy organizations here in their 92129 community to whom they can lend a helping hand, and our Town Council is one of the first beneficiaries!

Come see their beautiful cars, meet the Club members, and vote for your favorite car– the “People’s Choice” award. Of course, as part of the annual Fiesta, there will be entertainment and activities throughout the day on a stage set up in the Car Show area, featuring several bands, Folklorico Dancers, Mariachi’s, a Hula Hoop contest for the kids, Limbo rock, and “doing the Twist” until your side aches!

If you own a classic car and would like to participate, the vehicle move in time will be from 6:30am-10:30am. The single entry and exit point will be on Carmel Mtn Rd and Black Mtn. All vehicles will be greeted and directed to the registration booth to receive their placard and gift bags. There is a $20 registration fee for all vehicles. There will be a People’s Choice award for best overall show car, as well as trophies given out for “Best” in several other categories.
