Poway Days Heritage Parade and Picnic will take place on Saturday in September to celebrate the town's western heritage.
The parade starts on Saturday at 9am, and proceeds on Poway Rd from Pomerado Rd to Bowron Rd. An old-fashioned picnic will follow with a petting zoo, a pet show, pony rides, crafts, games and food. Admission is free. The picnic will take place at Community Park, 13094 Civic Center Drive, located a few blocks south of the parade's finish. The picnic is a fundraiser for the town's non-profit organizations.
