Escondido's annual July 4th Celebration and Fireworks will take place at Grape Day Park, near downtown.

There will be plenty of free entertainment, including magicians, baton twirlers, musical performances, children's arts projects, contests, and fireworks.Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Bring a picnic and blanket. But the park doesn't allow any of these items: Tall chairs, alcohol, pets and barbecues.

The Independence Day celebration and fireworks is sponsored by SDB&E, GEICO, and the Linden Root Dickinson Foundation.

The event's organizers are the California Center for the Arts, American Legion Post 149, North County Times, Escondido History Center, and City of Escondido..
