SAN DIEGO FAIR HIGHLIGHTS
In 2010, the San Diego County Fair will celebrate food — not just the food that fairs are famous for, but also the food that is part of our lives each and every day.
Taste the Fun will follow the great example set from the 2009 Music Mania theme, and once again welcome community involvement by tapping into the talents from the local community. From marching bands to garage bands, all the way to local celebrities, musicians of all genres and ages will be highlighted.
All the things you love about the San Diego County Fair — rides, animals, food and exhibits — will be here in 2010.
The theme will be incorporated into all aspects of the Fair through décor, programming, sounds and more. Contests, such as Fair favorites Battle of the Bands, and Super Star Competitions will return bigger and better than ever, and themed stages and areas will call to life important moments in music history such as Woodstock, the British Invasion, and Motown.
The San Diego County Fair is the largest annual event in San Diego County and the fifth largest fair in the United States, drawing more than 1.2 million visitors each year.
So mark your calendars for the 2010 San Diego County Fair — Friday, June 11, through Monday, July 5, closed three Mondays: June 14, 21 and 28. Information about the 2010 Fair will begin to be posted on this Web site starting in early 2010. Please check back.
