HIGHLIGHTS
If you're looking for a way to spend a day or weekend, there's a seeming endless stream of events throughout the year along San Diego's coastline. They include art walks, street festivals, athletic events, flower festivals, holiday parades and festivals, and concert series. They can enjoyed all year round due to the great weather.
Every San Diego coastal town has at least one annual event, many of which have several throughout the year. Some of the most popular events are the Carlsbad Village Fair, Encinitas Poinsetta Festival, La Jolla Festival of the Arts, Oceanside Harbor Day, and Imperial Beach U.S. Sandcastle Competition.
The Del Mar Fairgrounds is loaded with activities, including the San Diego County Fair and Del Mar Races.
