Harbor Days Highlights

On September 27-28, 2014 the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce along with USAA and Genentech will present Oceanside Harbor Days at the Oceanside Harbor. 50,000 people are expected at the event. The event will feature arts and craft exhibits, great food and fun activities for the entire family. The event is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. The harbor also offers plenty of dining and shopping.

Two event filled days of sun, sand, and surf provide an outstanding opportunity for residents and neighbors to experience fun activities including the new Sandcastle competition, Entertainment Stage, Arts, Crafts and Food booth areas, Nail ‘n’ Sail Competition, Military, Public Safety displays, and more.

Harbor Days is free to the public and is hosted by the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce and Oceanside Harbor District and presented by USAA and Genentech. Nail & Sail Competition

The Nail & Sail is the highlight of the weekend. The contest pits brain against brawn as teams attempt to build and navigate a seaworthy craft
around a short, but treacherous course. Entrants compete for such awards as “First to Sink” and “Ugliest Boat”.

Sandcastle Competition

Your sand-building skills Can be showcased on Saturday, September 27th
at this year’s “Fun in the Sand” sand sculpture competition event.

The Tiki Swim

Tiki swimmers begin their adventure with a mass start that takes them out and around the city of Oceanside’s iconic fishing pier. Once past the pier, our swimmers turn north for a fast and straight swim towards the Oceanside Harbor.


There is FREE parking in downtown Oceanside at Oceanside Transit Center Parking . Garage (located at Cleveland St. and Seagaze Dr.) with free shuttle service from the North County Transit Center.
