July 4th Fireworks Highlights

Imperial Beach residents will be enjoying fireworks again this Fourth of July! The display will begin around 9 PM to insure maximum visibility with the benefit of darkness. You can view the fireworks on the beach from Imperial Beach Blvd. to Palm Avenue, facing the end of Portwood Pier, so gather your friends and family, bring a picnic or grab a snack from neighboring businesses, then spread your beach blanket early to claim some space and catch all the action. The Port of San Diego will be hosting the Big Bay Boom, a fireworks display spanning five beautiful bay front locations, many which will also be visible from Imperial Beach. Combined, these fireworks celebrations will make the south county coastline a beautiful place to celebrate our nation’s independence. Happy Birthday America!

Residents and guests are advised to not encroach into any protected wetland areas and obey all posted parking instructions. Parking will be at a premium, so consider arriving early and using alternate forms of transportation. Please be aware that alcoholic beverage consumption in public places is prohibited and public intoxication laws will be enforced.
