HOLIDAY HIGHLIGHTS
The Holiday of Lights at the Del Mar Fairgrounds is a spectacular drive-through light show and exhibit, themed for the holiday season, with more than 400 crowd-pleasing, family-oriented displays. The displays are organized into themes, which include: Candy Cane Lane, Toyland, San Diego County Fair, Treasures by the Lake, Del Mar Racetrack, the Twelve Days of Christmas and Elves at Play.
How do people view the displays? Visitors view the lighted and animated holiday creations from the comfort of their vehicles as they drive along a 1.5-mile route through the Fairgrounds while enjoying festive holiday music.
How many displays are there?
About 400 lighted and animated displays.
Climb aboard the Holiday Hayride and enjoy a tour of the Holiday of Lights the old-fashioned way!
Wagons depart from the Paddock, where carolers, holiday music and fire pits for roasting marshmallows will entertain you before you board the ride and after you return.
Santa's Pub and Piano Bar, also at the Paddock, is a great place for a company happy hour.
Seating on the Holiday Hayride is limited, and reservations are highly recommended. Tickets will go on sale sometime in November; we will post more information here at that time.

$10.00 per person for the Holiday Hayride (Ages 3 and younger ride free; hayride includes the Holiday of Lights tour, hot chocolate or cider and a holiday cookie.)

Because of safety concerns, motorcycles and other two-wheeled vehicles are not permitted to tour Holiday of Lights.

San Diego Holiday Arts Festival discount: Shop for unique gifts at the San Diego Holiday Arts Festival Nov. 26-28 at the Fairgrounds, and get $2.00 off your Holiday of Lights ticket. Just show the festival program at the Holiday of Lights ticket window.
Group discount: Available on the advance purchase of 20 or more admission tickets. Tickets are $11.00 each. They do not need to be used on the same night, and are valid any one night.
Military discount: Military discount tickets are sold only at base ticket offices, not at the Holiday of Lights' entrance. Please contact the base ticket office near you.
