The Del Mar Fairgrounds hosts many events through the year. The main annual events are the San Diego County Fair, Del Mar Horse Racing, National Horse Show, Scream Zone, and Holiday of Lights.

Located a short distance from Del Mar Village, the fairgrounds also has scores of other events throughout the year about antiques, home remodeling, scrap booking, weddings, dogs, cats, horses, fish, gems, cars, trains, guns, fashion, roller derby, and much more.
