Del Mar Car Show Highlights
The annual Goodguys Meguiar’s Del Mar Nationals Car Show will feature over 2,000 rods, customs, classics and muscle cars through 1972. There will also be nostalgia stage shows, exhibitors midway and family fun. This event, which celebrates older automobiles, returns to the Del Mar Fairgrounds, a short distance from Del Mar Village.
Indoors, row upon row of vintage cars will be on display. Car owners will be on hand to answer any questions. Outdoors, you can watch as vintage makes from high-end luxuries to funky VW vans cruise the roadway between the entry way to the event and the parking area in the back. Various food and memorabilia vendors will be set up along the path. Attendees can visit the Swap Meet and Cars 4 Sale Corral in the parking area. Awards will be given out several categories, including hot rods, trucks, customs and muscle cars.

Local Haps and Events
Goodguys Meguiar’s Del Mar Nationals Car Show celebrates another year at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. April is a great time of year in San Diego, as the temps warm up. The show is only a quarter mile to the beach, so the ocean breeze sweeps through. The Fairgrounds holds many events throughout the year, including the San Diego County Fair and Del Mar Races. About half a mile up the road, Del Mar Village has many restaurants and outside cafes which offer tasty food, as well as specialty shops and boutiques. And don’t forget the beach, just steps from downtown.
