YachtFest San Diego Offers Intimate Preview of Exquisite Yachts - September Event Showcases San Diego as West Coast Yachting Destination
Recognized as the West Coast’s premier boutique yacht show, YachtFest ’08 will open the international yacht show season at San Diego’s Shelter Island for the ninth straight year, from September 11-14.
Presented by the San Diego Marine Exchange, YachtFest offers what other yacht shows don’t – an intimate glimpse inside some of the world’s most luxurious super yachts that range in size from 60 to over 120 feet with values reaching up to $25 million.
YachtFest attendees will get to experience the superior yachting craftsmanship and technology that they would come across at a Ft. Lauderdale or Monaco yacht show, but in a far more relaxed and intimate setting.
Nearly a $100 million worth of boats, yachts, super yachts, luxury cars and other accessories will be on display at Shelter Island Marina and the Island Palms Hotel. In addition to previewing yachts, attendees can check out the newest in yachting products and gain exclusive access to luxury goods.
Visitors will be able to board exquisite yachts and view numerous exhibits embodying the luxury lifestyle from high-end real estate, automobiles and financial groups to vacation packages and marine trade companies.
In addition to its lavish super yachts, YachtFest will also present its third annual “All Decked Out” Fashion show. Uniformed soldiers will accompany models as they walk the red carpet on the docks in fashions provided by Saks Fifth Avenue. Proceeds from the show will be given to the San Diego Armed Services YMCA.
