Film Festival HighlightsThe San Diego Black Film Festival is one of the largest black film festivals in the country and second largest on the west coast. Our motto is "Spotlight on African American and African Diaspora Cinema." We screen over 100 films each year: Comedy, Drama, Documentaries, Animation, GLBT, Horror, Religious, Foreign/African Diaspora, Shorts, Feature Films and music videos.

The box office is now open daily 11am-6pm. Advance tickets, passes and credentials can all be purchased now online or obtained at the box office. We accept cash and credit cards. Our office phone number is (619) 234-0022.
Starting Monday January 27, our box office will move on location to the Reading Theatre at 701 5th. Avenue, San Diego, California 92101.
If you need ticket information, do not contact the Reading Theatre, instead contact the San Diego Black Film Festival at (619) 234-0022.
Location: The San Diego Black Film Festival is located in downtown's Gaslamp Quarter.
Parking: Horton Plaza offers three hours free parking with validation. Validation is free. Simply insert your parking ticket in any of the various parking validation kiosks located throughout Horton Plaza.
Caution: Each minute after three hours is very expensive.
