Artwalk Highlights
Discover the pleasures of owning original art in a lively festival setting. Spring is synonomous with ArtWalk in San Diego, which always takes place on the last weekend of April.
This juried show showcases the art of more than 350 artists in the region’s largest outdoor art festival.
Each year the event attracts more than 100,000 attendees.
The team that produces ArtWalk Spring Festival is extremely excited about the caliber of art that will be showcased in 2011. At ArtWalk in Little Italy, visitors to the event will have an opportunity to visit with hundreds of artists, enjoy their work, and learn what inspired them. The festival features San Diego’s top musical performers and dance companies, interactive art activities for children, food and fun!
Street Fair in Little Italy
Each year the event fills the neighborhood of Little Italy, located near downtown San Diego. The footprint of the event extends from the trolley stop on Beech Street (southern border of event), to the northern end of Fir Street (north border of event). Kettner, India and Columbia are the primary cross-streets. India Street is closed to vehicle traffic during the event.
Kids Walk
Local arts organizations team up with ArtWalk to offer fun and creative hands-on projects for kids throughout the ArtWalk weekend. This inviting grassy area is a perfect spot to enjoy both the KidsWalk activities and the Art Miles Murals. Located at Amici Park on Date St, three blocks east of India St. Presented by: Amici Park / Washington Elementary School
