Marathon Highlights

The original Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon will once again hit the streets of San Diego. The annual event, known as a 26.2-mile block party, features a live band at every mile along the course, thousands of cheerleaders, themed water stations and a post-race concert.

For runners and walkers of all ability levels, race weekend offers a unique opportunity for both locals and out-of-towners to take an active vacation, accomplish personal goals or team up with friends and family to raise money for charity.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon starts at 6th Avenue & Quince Street, Balboa Park. Part of its course is through parts of Mission Bay Park.

All racers must attend the Health & Fitness Expo to pick up their race number, timing chip, T-shirt and goodie bag. The Expo takes place at the San Diego Convention Center on June 3, 4, 2011
