Pelly’s Miniature Golf Course offers a fun, relaxing, family-friendly outing meant to put putting skills to the test and educate golfers about recycling and ocean conservation.

Golfers can choose from two different 18-hole themed miniature golf courses: Pelly’s Surfin Safari and Pelly’s Ocean Adventure. The Surfin Safari course covers a broad surfing theme. Holes include information on surf history, local breaks and surf icons. The Ocean Adventure course takes golfers on a journey from the beach into the deep ocean where they will encounter ships, dolphins and whales.

Pelly’s is a very unique miniature golf course. It seeks to raise awareness of ocean conservation. Golfers can look forward to a fun, entertaining and educational outing. Informative signs are placed throughout each course and include information on various forms of marine life, the history of surfing and numerous conservation and recycling facts.

These miniature golf courses were designed in cooperation with the Surfrider Foundation and Birch Aquarium at Scripps. Unique, life-like sculptures decorate many of the holes. Together, the courses include 20 different sculptures including octopus, sea lions, sharks and California gray whales. Local artist, Gerry Kirk, spent nearly a year creating the sculptures.

Pelly’s Miniature Golf is perfect for a family outing or a group adventure. Birthday packages are available and include one or two rounds of miniature golf, food and cake. Two patios are available to rent for group events.

The Surf’s Up Café provides snacks and beverages to keep players energized. The menu includes hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, French fries, pizza, ice cream and shaved ice.

Discounts are available for groups. Adults play for $9, and children 12 and under play for $7. The course part of the Del Mar Golf Center and is located across the street from the Del Mar Fair Grounds.

Hours for the mini-golf courses are Sundays through Thursdays, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM; Fridays and Saturdays, 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
