Cardiff-by-the-Sea Town Center
The Town Center has over a dozen restaurants, from laid-back cafes to formal dining. One concentration of restaurants are located along San Elijo Ave in the village, itself. While here, you can visit Seaside Market, a specialty grocery store. Within walking distance of the Town Center is Restaurant Row, which features six restaurants, located on Coast Hwy 101, next to Cardiff State Beach. Also nearby are San Elijo State Beach and Campground. |

Carlsbad Village
The village encompasses Carlsbad Blvd, Carlsbad Village Drive, Grand Ave and side streets. Carlsbad Village is an ideal place to walk, and enjoy the many shops, restaurants, and peaceful atmosphere. Attractions within walking distance include Witch Creek Winery, Historical Magee Park, Carlsbad State Beach, and Carlsbad Village Farmers Market. |

Coronado's Orange Avenue District
This historic, downtown district has mainly older, low-rise buildings, with a common architectural theme. Orange Avenue is ideal for strolling, shopping around, and dining out. Choose from among 3 dozen restaurants. Take in a play at Lamb's Players Theatre, or visit the Coronado Museum of History & Art. Nearby, within walking distance are the Hotel Del and Coronado City Beach. |

Del Mar Village
The village has about two dozen restaurants. Many are located at Del Mar Plaza and Stratford Square, both on Camino Del Mar and 15th Street. While in historic Del Mar Town Village, you can walk down 15th Street and visit Seagrove Park, Powerhouse Park and Del Mar City Beach. If you're in the mood for dining on the beach, both Jakes Del Mar and The Poseidon offer great ocean views with direct access to the sand. |

Encinitas Historic Downtown
Restaurants are strung out all along Coast Hwy 101 with several concentrated around D Street and E Street. Included are several sidewalk cafes, ideal on a sunny day. While here, you can explore the many off-beat specialy shops and boutiques. The historic La Paloma Theatre offers off-beat movies and music venues. Moonlight Beach, a few blocks away, is a great family beach. On the south side of downtown are a half dozen restaurants, with Swami's Beach, Sea Cliff Park and Self Realization Fellowship within walking distance. |

La Jolla Downtown Peninsula
La Jolla Downtown has several dozen restaurants, and not surprisingly, many of which are upscale, A popular dining collective overlooking La Jolla Cove is on 8008 Girard Ave, which has several cafes and restaurants. Prospect Street, downtown La Jolla's upscale main drag, is another popular dining venue with several upscale restaurants overlooking the ocean. The Hard Rock Cafe is on Prospect Street, just south of Girard Ave. If you're in the mood for dining on Coast Blvd, beside the cliffs overlooking the ocean, Brockton Villa Restaurant and Goldfish Point Cafe are for you.
While in downtown, you can walk its many streets, taking in the art galleries, and boutique, jewelry and clothing stores, and more. You can walk down Girard Ave to Ellen Browning Scripps Park and site see La Jolla Cove, La Jolla Caves, and the Children's Pool. Other major attractions on or near Prospect Street are the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, Museum of Contemporary Art, and The 12 Green Dragon Buildings |

La Jolla Shores
Explore from among a dozen restaurants in this secluded La Jolla beach neighborhood. Most of the restaurants are along a block of Avenida de la Playa, within walking distance of La Jolla Shores beach and Kellogg Park. The famous Marine Room is at the south end of the beach with a great ocean view. Another famous dining spot, The Shores Restaurant, is a block from the beach. |

Leucadia Historic Downtown
Most restaurants in this funky beach town are concentrated along Coast Hwy 101 near Leucadia Blvd. While here, you can walk along the coast hwy and enjoy the quaint shops and fantastic ocean view at nearby Beacon's Beach. |

Mission Beach Downtown
About a dozen and a half restaurants concentrated mainly along Mission Blvd and Ventura Place, and Belmont Park. Most of these restaurants are casual and include pizza parlors, burger joints, taco stands, grills, pubs, Italian food, Sushi, and more. This part of town is sandwiched between Mission Beaches funky residential neighborhoods to the north and south, and Mission Bay inland. If you want to eat next to the beach, the Wave House Bar & Grill and Canes Bar & Grill are for you — both located at Belmont Park, on the Ocean Front Boardwalk. Within walking distance is West Mission Bay, and while a few blocks from Mission Beach is world's apart, with various parks, beaches and coves. |

Ocean Beach Downtown
Downtown OB is all within 3 blocks of the beach. One concentration of restaurants is along Newport Ave, the communiity's main shopping thoroughfare, where you will find OB's Antique District. OB has several dozen dining spots, mostly casual and laid back. Many are off-beat and unique, like the city. The pier itself has a restaurant half way out called Ocean Beach Pier Cafe. OB is secluded and in a world of its own. With walking distance of dining are OB Pier and OB Beach, and Dog Beach. |

Oceanside Harbor
The great selection of dining at Oceanside Harbor attracts hundreds of locals and visitors each day. Each restaurant offers a great view of the harbor, with outdoor dining available at many eateries. Most restaurants are concentrated at Harbor Village on the harbor's south end. Major restaurants include Jolly Rogers, Monterey Bay Canners, and Joe's Crab Shack. As you might guess, the restaurants here follow a harbor theme. While here, you can enjoy a stroll around the Harbor, or visit nearby Harbor Beach. Overnight RV camping is available at Harbor Beach. |

Oceanside Historic Downtown
The heart of downtown, along Mission Blvd, Pier View Way, and Hwy 101 has a great concentration of restaurants. This is a great walking area, where you can visit such attractions as the Oceanside Farmers Market, the Callfornia Surf Museum, Oceanside Museum of Art, and Oceanside Pier. You can even eat at the end of the pier at Ruby's Diner. |

Pacific Beach Coastal
Also known as the Garnet Ave/Mission Blvd District, this hip area has several dozen restaurants, and while some are upscale, most are casual, like this beach community. Here you'll find several cantinas, pubs, clubs, grills, pizza joints, burger joints, cafes and more. Kono's Surf Club Cafe is a popular dining spot with outdoor seating next to Crystal Pier, overlooking the ocean. Pacific Beach Coastal has several attractions, all within walking distance, including Pacific Beach and North Pacific Beach beaches, Ocean Front Boardwalk, and Crystal Pier. The boardwalk is a good way to burn off calories and enjoy the beaches funky culture. |

Solana Beach Historic Downtown
The heart of downtown is around Old Hwy 101 and Lomas Santa Fe, where you'll find several restaurants. While here, you can walk to Fletcher Cove Park and Beach, the Cedros Ave Farmers Market, and Cedros Design District, which has two restaurants and the renown Belly Up Tavern. |
