Mission Beach sits on a 2-mile long, strand of land about a few blocks wide, with the Pacific Ocean on one side and Mission Bay on the other.
Mission Blvd is the main thoroughfare through Mission Beach, with quaint homes, apartments motels, restaurants, clubs and shops. As with its neighbors to the north and south, Mission Beach is popular among young people, especially college students.

A historic amusement park located next to the beach, features The Big Dipper, a wooden roller coaster, amusement rides, games, restaurants,, bars, shops and The Wave House.
Mission Blvd District
Mission Beaches main drag with ecclectic shops, restaurants, small homes, condos and apartments.

Stretches from the Catamaran Resort at the north end to Mission Point at the south.
