Concert Venue Highlights
Located in Balboa Park, Spreckels Organ Pavilion features the world’s largest outdoor pipe organ with over 4,500 pipes. The pipes range in size from a pencil to 32 feet wide. The organ is housed in an ornate vaulted structure with highly embellished gables.
Free, public organ concerts are presented at 2:00pm every Sunday afternoon of the year by the civic organist or a guest artist. Such concerts began back in 1917 and have continued to this day.
In addition, the pavilion hosts an International Organ Festival during Summer on Monday evenings at 7:30 pm and the Twilight in the Park Concert Series, also during Summer on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays at 6:15 pm. Numerous concerts, graduations, weddings and special events are held throughout the year as well.
Restrooms are located directly west of the Organ Pavilion.
