Uptown District Shopping Center is a trendy pedestrian-oriented mixed-use retail center and residential development on University Ave. and Vermont Street in Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego CA.
Vermont Ave divides the district in two sections. On the west side is a large retail area with anchor tenants Ralphs and Trader Joe's, several small shops and restaurants, and a courtyard that opens to University Ave.
On the east side is a large building with several small shops and restaurants, Joyce Beers Uptown Community Center, a section of live-work lofts and 313 residential units, many located above retail shops.
Parking is located below the market, and in a "parking court" behind the street-fronting buildings.
