Theater Highlights

The 455-seat Star Theatre has been a familiar landmark in downtown Oceanside since 1956. Starting as a movie theatre, the Star Theatre became a community-based non-profit performing arts center in 2001. The Historic Star Theatre is the largest stage in coastal North County and showcases live theatre and events from organizations throughout Southern, CA. The theatre is available throughout the year to local and touring groups with non-profit status.

The Star Theatre features a 1950s classic style, with modern theatre arts and sound technology, as well as a professional dance room with full length mirrors.
