Newport Avenue Shopping District
Newport Avenue Shopping District
Newport Ave between Sunset Cliffs
and Ocean Beach Pier
Ocean Beach
Newport Avenue is the heart of downtown Ocean Beach. The three-block-long shopping district is reminiscent of more traditional small town mainstreets with diagonal parking, colorful, diverse storefronts, tall trees and a casual atmosphere. Ocean Beach Park, the city's beach, and Ocean Beach Pier are right down the street.
Newport Ave Shopping District has original, funky, mom-and-pop shops, where you can find artisan and fine jewelry, antiques, boutique and clothing, body piercing, unusual smoking accessories, body piercing, surf shops, cafes, and inexpensive restaurants.
Along two blocks of Newport Ave is the famous Ocean Beach Antique District, comprising several antique shops, with antique furniture, art, estate jewelry, garden and architectural elements, antique lighting, memorabilia, antique paper and ephemera, pottery and china.
On Wednesday nights, you can enjoy the Ocean Beach Farmers' Market on Newport Ave, between Cable and Bacon Streets.
