The Torrey Pines Gliderport is located on the bluffs overlooking Black's Beach and the Pacific Ocean in La Jolla, CA. Torrey Pines State Beach and Torrey Pines State Reserve are to the north. Torrey Pines Gliderport is home to hang gliding, paragliding, scale models, and sailplane flight. If you have your own equipment, you can launch from the take off area, a large grassy area atop the tall cliff. The gliderport also rents equipment, and has classes, adventure tours, an an equipment store. Flying is available all year round in good flying weather. Onlookers can come and watch. A snack bar with outdoor seating is available. Parking is available in a dirt lot nearby and along the street.

Classes
The Torrey Pines Gliderport has a paragliding school with highly trained instructors. The school offers training at all levels, from newbie to advanced. Special clinics and classes are also available to improve skills.
