Park Highlights

Orpheus Park is one of the few parks in Encinitas with off-leash dog hours. Dogs can be on-leash anytime, but refer to off-leash hours.

The quite, neighborhood park is a grassy expanse, which gently slopes from street level above to the western edge below, overlooking the neighborhood and ocean. The view is stunning and can be appreciated from almost anywhere in the park.

Orpheus Park has a children’s playground with sand lot, a cabana with picnic benches, and a concrete path which meanders through the park.

The park can be accessed from the street above or from a ramp, which extends from the Paul Ecke Elementary School parking lot below.

If you plan to let your dog roam freely, please be aware that Orpheus Park is open on one side to the road.
