PARK HIGHLIGHTS
Kellogg Park is a long, grassy area that parallels La Jolla Shores, a beach in La Jolla, CA. A palm tree lined, concrete boardwalk separates the park from the beach.
At the south end of Kellogg Park is a children's playground. The park has a relaxed atmosphere. In certain areas of the park, small trees and scrubs help separate the park from the beach and boardwalk, which adds more privacy to the park.
While many shoreline parks in San Diego County are situated on bluff tops overlooking the ocean, Kellogg Park comes up to the beach.
During the weekend, several groups of scuba divers gear up in at the south end of the park. La Jolla Shores is a popular diving spot, because of its gentle surf and easy ocean entry.
The parking lot next to Kellogg Park can fill up quite fast during the weekends and nice summer days.
