Fletcher Cove Park is the main beach park within Solana Beach. The park offers a grassy area, artzy mosaic trimming along its walkways, a playground, a sitting area with concrete benches in a small, open circular area, and a viewing deck, overlooking the beach and ocean.
Fletcher Cove Park beach is a sandy cove and narrow strip of beach below the park. A concrete ramp takes you from the park down to the beach. This is a popular haven for surfers and swimmers. Jogging, walking and surf-fishing are also popular pastimes here. The beach gets wider at low tide but pretty much disappears at high tide. The beach can also get filled with small cobble stones in various spots.
Downtown Solana Beach, located on Coast Hwy 101, is a block from the park. Downtown has several shops and restaurants.
Fletcher Cove Park has public showers and restroom facilities, as well as picnic tables and a basketball court located on top of the bluffs next to the Marine Safety Department Headquarters. The Coaster station is three blocks away.
No dogs are allowed on the sand. No alcohol allowed. No glass bottles. Parking: Free street parking.
