PARK HIGHLIGHTS
Calumet Park is a small, grassy park on a bluff that overlooks the ocean. The park is in Bird Rock, a community in La Jolla. Calumet Park overlooks Rock Pile, an area popular with local surfers.
The seascape view is spectacular, especially on a clear day. You can see the rugged cliffs with beating surf, both up and down the coast. The park is an ideal place to take a break and take in the beauty of nature.
Park benches near the bluff face the ocean. Calumet Park is a popular spot for weddings. The beach below Calumet Park can be reached by a rugged trail on the north side of the park. The beach, itself, consists of large and medium size cobble stones, which can be challenging to walk on. Exercise caution on the beach and trail.
