The Del Mar Fairgrounds can be seen from Camino Del Mar (Coast Hwy) and Interstate 5 in Del Mar, CA. The fairgrounds is best known for hosting the annual San Diego County Fair and Del Mar Races, both in summer.
In all, the fairgrounds has about 350 events annually. They include Professional Bull Riding, The Del Mar Scream Zone, The Holiday of Lights, Del Mar National Horse Show, Surfside Race Place year-round, antique shows, home improvement shows, gun shows, dog shows, weddings, receptions and other events.
Consumer, trade and private events tend to run during fall, winter and spring, while the San Diego County Fair and Del Mar Races run during summer.
The 22nd District Agricultural Association (22nd DAA) manages and operates the Del Mar Fairgrounds; the Horsepark; and the Del Mar Golf Center, on behalf of the State of California.
