BEACHES
Silver Strand State Beach
Silver Strand State Beach, in Coronado, CA., features extensive beaches on both the Pacific Ocean and San Diego Bay. Combined with the area's mild climate, the beaches make Silver Strand one of the area's finest recreation destinations.
Grand Caribe Beach
Adjacent to the Coronado Cays, Grand Caribe Park Beach is a narrow, sandy beach between the park and bay. The beach is secluded, hidden from view of Grand Caribe Park by a small incline, making it a good place to sunbathe. While the beach is narrow, it is long, which makes it a popular spot for walking and jogging. The beach is also a popular spot to launch small boats, kayaaks, and jet skis. SHORELINE PARKS
Coronado Cays Park
Coronado Cays Park is a flat, grassy area, six acres, ideal for soccer games and other activities. The park is huge and more suitable for athletic activities than picnics. The park has virtually no trees. There is a playground on the southeast end and a baseball diamond and tennis courts on the north end.
Grand Caribe Park
Adjacent to the Coronado Cays, Grand Caribe Park features unique natural plants and California native plants which have been planted throughout the park to enhance the existing plant communities and to provide an educational botanical setting. In addition to the native plant species, the park was designed with a meandering naturalized path, benches, a bike rack and beautiful bronze sculpture entitled "Sheltering Wings." The park is rather small, but is secluded with nice views of the bay. SHORELINE CAMPGROUNDS
