BEACHES
Moonlight Beach
A popular spot for families and kids, Moonlight State Beach is flat and sandy, a great place for sunbathing, walking or jogging, in Encinitas, CA. Moonlight State Beach comes packed with amenities, including volleyball courts, a playground park, snack bar, picnic area, fire pits and a permanent life guard station.

La Paloma Theatre
Single screen movie house, dating back to the late 1920s, with off-beat movies and music venues.

SHOPPING AREAS
The Lumberyard Shopping Center
The Lumberyard Shopping Center is built on the former site of a lumberyard, in historic downtown Encinitas. The central courtyard has been recently renovated, with a central fountain and colorful landscaping. Lumberyard Shopping Center has a variety of shops, including food, art galleries, books, boutiques, and coffee.

Historic 101 Encinitas Downtown District
Encinitas historic downtown district runs along South Coast Hwy 101 from K Street to Encinitas Blvd. Much of the southern section of town has been redeveloped over the last few decades, while the northern section retains its historical buildings, dating back to the early 20th century.

Encinitas-Leucadia Farmers Market
Fresh foods and flowers. Look for a local specialty - poinsettias - in December.
