Harbor Beach Campground
Harbor Beach Campground
End of Harbor Drive S at Harbor Beach
Oceanside, California
Not to mislead anyone, Harbor Beach Campground is nothing more than a small parking lot with RV/Trailer spaces and fire rings. Hook ups are not available for camping. RV/Trailer overnight parking is available in the extended parking lot, near the north jetty, at the north end of Harbor Beach. The cost is $15 to camp overnight. No tent camping is allowed. Clean restrooms are nearby.
No reservations are necessary at Harbor Beach Campground. This is first come, first serve, and can get crowded during the Summer. Harbor Beach Campground is bordered by the beach, the marina, and the inlet channel.
Located nearby at the end of the regular parking lot is Harbor Pelican Deli and Mart (760-722-5853), which provides tackle, snacks and drinks, sunglasses with outdoor seating, where people could sit and eat and look at the marina. An ATM and ice machine are also nearby.
Harbor Village, located on the side side of Oceanside Harbor, has several restaurants and shops. Boat rentals and charters are also available.
The marina side of Harbor Beach Campground has fire rings nearby, while on the beach side, the fire rings are about 50 feet farther out onto the sand toward the water.
Even during high tide, Harbor Beach is very wide, one of the widest in the county. Harbor Beach has
cabaña areas with picnic tables, more fire rings, and a playground. The beach is family friendly.
