Seawall Highlights
The Carlsbad Seawall stretches for about a mile along Carlsbad Blvd, from Walnut Ave, near
Carlsbad Village, to Tamarack Ave, near
Carlsbad State Beach parking lot.
The seawall features a concrete pathway with several access points both to the beach below and the street above.
The walkway is frequented by runners, walkers, and people pushing baby strollers, and is a great way to get from Carlsbad Village to Carlsbad State Beach near the jetty, without contending with cars or sand.
The north entrance to the seawall pathway begins at Frazee Beach Park, near the village; the south entrance begins next to the life guard station at Carlsbad State Beach, near the parking lot.
Just above the seawall, and running parallel to it, is a palisade-like park with a sidewalk, park benches and narrow grassy areas.
Carlsbad Seawall is in a mainly residential area. The closest shops and restaurants are in Carlbad Village. Parking is available along sections of Carlsbad Blvd, in Carlsbad Village, and at Carlsbad State Beach parking lot.
