ATTRACTION HIGHLIGHTS

There’s a variety of things you can do along San Diego’s beautiful coastline and beaches. You can explore the Point Loma tide pools, go camping at San Elijo State Beach Campground, walk along La Jolla Cove, explore the many trails at Torrey Pines State Reserve, watch the boats at Oceanside Harbor or just take a walk along the beach. San Diego has many shoreline parks where you can enjoy a picnic, take a nap, or have a wedding.

Four piers from Imperial Beach to Oceanside are open to the public. Scripps Pier, just south of La Jolla Shores, is a private pier operated by Scripps Institute of Oceanography. Each pier has it's own history and amenities. If you like strolling along the beach or jogging, there are many beach trails you can follow.

The weather is great most of the time, so you can enjoy activities along San Diego beaches year round. The info provided in this section is designed to show you some great spots for things to do. Have fun!
