The reconstructed Dodson and Trimmer-Dodson buildings reflect a utilitarian style of architecture commonly found in American frontier communities. German immigrant Martin Trimmer sold this lot to Nelson H. Dodson, who probably used it as a law office. The building now serves as a park concession.
