Park Highlights

Ventura Point is a peninsula with open grassy areas and palm trees, picnic tables, barbecue grills, walking and bike paths, and restrooms. Just west of the point is Ventura Cove, a sandy beach with fire rings. During summer, a lifeguard is on duty.

The bayside park and cove face north with nice views of Vacation Isle and Bahia Point beach.

Permits can be issued for gatherings up to 200 people.

Directions & Parking to Ventura Cove & Point

From South or East San Diego, take I-8 to the Sports Arena Blvd. exit, make a right onto West Mission Bay Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Cross the bridge and the parking lot is on the right-hand side.

From North San Diego, take I-5 to the Sea World Drive exit, make a right onto Sea World Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Cross the bridge and the parking lot is on the right-hand side.

Parking is free in these lots. There is also some street parking nearby.
