Park Highlights
Vacation Isle Park is a large, spacious grassy area with shade trees, located on
Vacation Isle. For purposes of issuing permits, the park is divided into east and west.
Vacation Isle East includes sandy beaches, a picnic shelter with tables, fire rings and restrooms. Permits are issued for gatherings up to 200 people and one inflatable maximum.
Vacation Isle West includes sandy beaches, picnic tables, fire rings and restrooms. Permits are issued for gatherings up to 200 people and one inflatable maximum.
Centrally located is South Cove, a small sandy beach with fire rings. Directly in front of the cove is a large fire ring with amphitheatre style seating facing the cove and ring, unique to Mission Bay. Check with Permit Center on permits for South Cove.
The park has no playground and no lifeguards are on duty.

Directions & Parking to Vacation Isle Park
From South or East San Diego, take I-8 to the Sports Arena Blvd. exit, make a right onto West Mission Bay Drive and continue straight to Ingraham Street. Cross over 1 bridge then make a left at the stop light to West Vacation Road.
From North San Diego, take I-5 to the Sea World Drive exit, make a right onto Sea World Drive and continue straight to Ingraham Street. Cross over 1 bridge then make a left at the stop light to West Vacation Road.
Parking is free in these lots, but they do fill up early during the summer months.
