Park Highlights

Sunset Point is a grassy area with palm trees just west of Dana Landing Resort. The park faces north, having a wide, panoramic view of Mission Bay, with Vacation Isle directly in front.

The bayside park has fire rings, picnic tables, and a path for walking, jogging or bike riding. The path connects directly with Dana Landing to the east and Ventura Point and Cove to the west.

Permits can be issued for gatherings up to 150 people and one inflatable.

Directions & Parking to Sunset Point

From South or East San Diego, take I-8 to the Sports Arena Blvd. exit, make a right onto West Mission Bay Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Make a right at the light onto Dana Landing Road and left into the parking lot.

From North San Diego, take I-5 to the Sea World Drive exit, make a right onto Sea World Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Make a right at the light onto Dana Landing Road and left into the parking lot.

Parking is free in these lots.
