Mission Point is a grassy, peninsula on the southwest corner of Mission Bay. The park faces north with nices views of Mariner's Point and Quivera Basin.
The bayside park is lined with large rocks and has some water access for swimming, although there is no lifeguard on duty. Mission Point also has a tot playground, picnic tables, palm trees, park benches, fire rings, walking, jogging and bike paths, and restrooms with showers.
Being on a peninsula with open space, Mission Point has a relaxed, secluded atmosphere. The park benches face the water on all sides, adding to the atmosphere.
Permits can be issued for gatherings of up to 150 people.

4am to 10pm
Parking lot gates close at 10pm
Rules
No alcohol allowed. No glass containers.
Dogs on leashes are allowed before 9am and after 6pm.

Restrooms and rinse showers.
Directions & Parking to Mission Point
From South or East San Diego, take I-8 to the Sports Arena Blvd. exit, make a right onto West Mission Bay Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Continue over the bridge and make a left onto Mission Blvd and continue to the end the go left in to the Parking Lot.
From North San Diego, take I-5 to the Sea World Drive exit, make a right onto Sea World Drive and continue on to West Mission Bay Drive ramp. Continue over the bridge make a left onto Mission Blvd and continue to the end the go left in to the Parking Lot.
