BEACHES
South Mission Beach beach
South Mission Beach City Beach is a beach on the Pacific Ocean. It is close to Mission Point Park. At the south end of South Mission Beach is a long narrow park with picnic areas and grass.

On the sand just north of the park are several volleyball courts. The South Mission Beach Life Guard Station is on the sand in front of the park and beyond that is the jetty, a popular surfing spot.

PLACES
Mission Beach
Mission Point Park connects with South Mission Beach, a beach community in San Diego. Mission Beach is located south of Pacific Beach and north of Ocean Beach. Mission Beach sits on a 2-mile long, strand of land about a few blocks wide, with the Pacific Ocean on one side and Mission Bay on the other.

Mission Blvd is the main thoroughfare through Mission Beach, with quaint homes, apartments motels, restaurants, clubs and shops. As with its neighbors to the north and south, Mission Beach is popular among young people, especially college students.
