De Anza Cove Activity Hub

Hub Highlights

Two large shoreline parks, a visitor center, a boat launch ramp, two coves with sandy beaches, and a small wildife refuge.

SHORELINE PARKS
De Anza Cove
De Anza Cove is located at 3000 North Mission Bay Drive on North Mission Bay. De Anza Cove has a volleyball area, a tot lot, park benches, picnic tables, and a path for jogging or bike riding. De Anza Cove also has a boat launch ramp, for both boats and jet skis, and a comfort station with showers. Swimming, boating and water skiing are allowed and there is a lifeguard on duty for the summer months. A sand lot that can be used for Over The Line (OTL) games is also nearby.

Information Cove
This is a small cove south of the visitors center on East Mission Bay. The cove acts as a refuge for wildlife and is a great place to watch birds and other wildlife.

Playa Pacific
Playa Pacifica is located south of the Visitors Information Center and north of the Hilton Hotel on East Mission Bay Drive. There is a swimming area with a lifeguard on duty during the summer months. There is a tot lot, a picnic shelter, basketball courts, fire rings and a path for jogging or bike riding. This park is also in the Hyatt Resort Hotel activity zone.

PATHWAYS
A walk/bike path stretches along the bay from the beginning of De Anza Cove through this activity hub to South Shores Park.

OTHER ATTRACTIONS
San Diego Visitors Center

The San Diego Visitor Center is located on the east side of Mission Bay, just south of De Anza Cove and north of Playa Park. Outside the visitor center is a walkway which stretches from De Anza Cove southward to South Shores Park, next to Sea World. A small cove, good for swimming is a short distance south of the visitor center. A public boat ramp is located a short distance north of the center.
